Regardless of where you stood on nutrition before pregnancy, there’s no denying its importance with each passing week as you carry your baby. 

For first-time mom, Lauren Buckingham, continuing the strict, plant-based diet she had already been on for more than a year was a no-brainer. 

“The most rewarding thing to me is having all my energy throughout the day as I still work as a massage therapist for athletes and I need the strength and energy,” Buckingham tells Parent24.
