Staff with the Winston-Dillard School District has begun distributing meals via bus routes.
“Grab-and-go” bagged breakfast and lunches are being delivered Mondays through Thursdays at 230 locations between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. School age students living in the district are eligible to participate in the free meal program. It is part of the USDA Food and Nutrition Service and is administered by the Oregon Department of Education Child Nutrition Programs.
Children or adults may pickup meals as the designated sites. A release said the district plans to distribute student ID cards for students to access meals, in the future. Meals served are fully cooked but should be refrigerated within an hour.
