When it comes to food, we realize that variety, quality, quantity and nutrition are important to today’s college student. To meet these culinary needs, Bethany contracts its dining services with the nationally-recognized Pioneer College Caterers.
Beyond catering the meals on campus, Pioneer also offers family and friends the ability to order special treats for birthdays, holidays, or other special occasions in a student’s life. Browse the special order page to order birthday cakes, cookies, fruit, or care packages.
The Dining Center, located in Old Main, is a buffet-style establishment that provides a wide selection of meal options including: a made-to-order grill, rotisserie station, a main buffet line with daily features, a salad bar, cereal bar, sandwich bar, pizza and soup stations, and multiple beverage dispensers. The predominant meal plan available to students grants continuous and unlimited daily access to the Dining Center. Students have access to the Dining Center through a variety of meal plan options (see Meal Plans below).
Alternative Food Serving Areas – 2020-21
Bethany is adding alternative satellite serving locations in Honsey Hall and the Viking Village. Students on a meal plan can scan their IDs at these locations and receive one exchange meal consisting of an entrée, side item, desert, and bottled water. Both satellite serveries will be open over lunch from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM on weekdays. In addition, the Viking Village location will be open during dinner hours on weekdays.
Tables have been added in a socially distant manner to the Viking Village/Fireside room, the Lab, and outdoors. Students are welcome to take their food to these locations.
The Dining Center has food available all-day, every weekday, from 7:30 a.m. until 10:30 p.m., with limited weekend hours. Traditional meal times include expansive menu selections, while lighter menu items continue to be available between meals. Made-to-order grill options remain available into the late night hours.
