Pentec Health, a Delaware County-based compounding and specialty pharmacy, is closing its manufacturing site in Boothwyn, Pa., and laying off 73 employees, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The decision was disclosed in a worker adjustment and retraining notification filed by the company, which makes nutrition protein therapies for malnourished dialysis patients.
The job cuts will be effective Jan. 4.
Pentec’s other sites in Boothwyn and Glen Mills, Pa. will remain open, and it will continue its 503A operations, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal.
