KSI has been wolfing down 2,900 calories-a-day in his bid to beef up for his must-win Saturday night rematch with Logan Paul.
The 6ft cruiserweight fights his taller American opponent at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, to settle their grudge once and for all after their August 2018 draw in Manchester.
The Watford YouTube sensation has undertaken close to a 12-week camp with sessions beginning in the West Ham Boys Club in East London and finishing in Las Vegas and LA.
Viddal Riley, the 3-0 cruiser recently signed to Floyd Mayweather promotions, has headed up the training while nutrition has been taken care of by elite chef Eric Triliegi, who has cooked for Conor McGregor among other athletes.
The average man should consume around 2,500 calories but KSI, real name Olajide William Olatunji, has maximised his menu with a long list of super-foods to boost his performance.
A camp insider told SunSport: “For KSI’s current weight we are keeping his calories at around 2900 per day. We are feeding him things like grass-fed beef.
“Grass-fed beef contain higher amounts of vitamin B12, B3, and B6, as well as iron, selenium, and zinc. It also contains more carotenoids, such as beta-carotene, which our bodies process into vitamin A.
“Grass-fed beef also contains higher amounts of vitamin E than grain-fed beef does. We have also been feeding him things like micro-greens, fresh ginger, basil, turmeric and fresh pineapple.”
Paul caused a stir when he claimed he had been drinking cow blood in a bid to boost his dramatic muscle gain. But KSI has been keeping things much more simple.
The Brit bruiser is set to weigh in at around 88kg on Friday – around 13st 12lbs – and that will be comfortable under the 90kg or 14st 4lbs limit that Paul is likely to be peaking at.
Riley, who is set for his fourth pro bout on December 28, told SunSport: “I don’t pretend to know everything about nutrition, I have a good base level of knowledge but we leave that to professionals.
“I can tell anyone that broccoli is good for you but deep-fried food isn’t, but I leave the rest to people who know everything.
“KSI has been eating lots of fresh fruit and eggs, protein pancakes and waffles, for dinner he will eat lots of salmon and cod, he eats like the superstar he is.
“I think on Friday he will weigh around 87-88kgs, that will make us calm, he does not need to be bang on 90kgs. His fitness and speed is amazing.”
