Why is chickpea flour so good for you? It’s extremely high in protein, an excellent source of fibre, and full of complex carbs that don’t spike your sugar levels. When mixed with an equal proportion of water, it can be used as a replacement for eggs in vegan cooking. It is also gluten-free and can be used as a wheat replacement.
Where to use it?

In South Africa, chickpea flour is available in a number of conventional stores as well as specialty food retailers including Dis-Chem, Woolworths, Faithful to Nature, and Takealot.
You could also make it yourself. There are a number of recipes online which teach you how to make roasted chickpea flour as well as chickpea flour from dried chickpeas.
