A. Publix isn’t so keen on sharing corporate recipes beyond those provided through Publix Aprons Cooking Schools. Last time I went grocery shopping I took a peek at the label for the Carrot raisin salad. The ingredients listed on the container are carrots, pineapple, mayonnaise, raisins, sugar and seasoning mix, consisting of sugar, thickening agents, stabilizers and preservatives. Which makes me think you could probably whip up a version of this recipe that comes pretty close or maybe even better. The bonus, aside from eliminating preservatives, is you can cut down on the amount of added sugar. Besides, does it really need added sugar with the natural sweetness of the carrots, pineapple and raisins?
